Interesting

Sun is releasing a VMware Connector for Sun Ray. This will let you set up a kiosk mode for Sun Ray where users will log in with their Windows credentials, then offer them a list of VMs to connect to, or immediately connect if there is only one option. Users will not have to enter their credentials again.

Neat idea. PermaLink

Planet Times

...ok, what's happening is that whatever SnipSnap and Blogger are doing for times is the right thing -- the dates get translated properly and they show up in the timeline correctly.

Twitter and Del.icio.us, on the other hand, seem to convert their posting times to UTC but don't list them as such, so their items all appear to be in the future. PermaLink

This is just a test

I want to see how it shows up in the RSS feed. PermaLink

About Virtual Dave

This is a wiki where I store various things that I learn. It isn't meant to be authoritative, it is more a lab notebook that I leave open so I can refer back to it from arbitrary places on the web. It is more for my benefit than anyone else's, but you are welcome to browse the index if you are stuck for something to do.

You probably can't create a user account, nor will you be able to edit items or leave comments on them; as I said, this is for my benefit.

But if you find things of use to you, fantastic. Enjoy.

This is a collection of techical information, much of it learned the hard way. Consider it a lab book or a /info directory. I doubt much of it will be of use to anyone else.
