Installing it:

swinstall can't deal with compressed depot files, so you must uncompress, unzip, or gunzip them as appropriate.

You must specify both the depot file and the fileset to install. Fortunately this is usually easy to figure out.

Example:

# swinstall -s /tmp/gzip-1.2.4a-sd-11.00.depot gzip

Note that the tcsh 6-12 did not work on the 11.22 installed on one of our Itanium boxes (it would dump core at the drop of a hat) but rebuilding tcsh from source worked properly.
