Power Draw

The Kill-A-Watt shows a 200W draw to the network gear. Everything except the computer and the tape drive was a 100W draw; the tape drive is a 20W draw. This tells me that Jupiter is drawing approximately 80W. I turned the tape drive off, so we are running at about 180W, or 4 KW/h (so about 20 cents) per day to keep the network going.

Sometime I'll plug each piece in and get more precise draws, but I am betting that the 3c3000 is the biggest piece of the "everything else".

This is a collection of techical information, much of it learned the hard way. Consider it a lab book or a /info directory. I doubt much of it will be of use to anyone else.
