Power Changes

That 80W draw for the 3c3000 was too much, so we are not using it any more. I'm using the SMC Wireless Router plus a SMC 5-port switch I had kicking around; the power draw is measurably lower now.

Jenn got her new laptop, a B610 (1.5GHz mobile Celeron) or something like that. The fit and finish feel pretty cheap when compared to my two-year-old D600, and to me the responsiveness feels pretty sluggish, but Jenn is reasonably happy with it now that most of the software she wants is installed.

This of course brings up the how-do-we-back-this-pig-up problem again.

This is a collection of techical information, much of it learned the hard way. Consider it a lab book or a /info directory. I doubt much of it will be of use to anyone else.
