There is no useful information here

The sole purpose of this page is to remind me that mtr combines the functions of ping and traceroute (or tracert) because I apparently can't remember it on my own.

Now there is useful information here

On Voyager (and ns2), there's a hand-built mtr v 0.81 called mtr-0.81. It is built without curses and can produce useful report-mode output for routes longer than your non-scrollable screen.

In general, this is a useful invocation:

# mtr-0.81 -nrwc 30 $TARGET $SIZE
...to wit:
# mtr-0.81 -nwrc 30 127.0.0.1 1500

This can be useful for trying to figure out if you are having a mtu issue somewhere.
