Problem
What is this certificate about? (eg: why am I being told this cert is about to expire?)
Solution
ou can display the contents of a PEM formatted certificate under Linux, using openssl:
$ openssl x509 -in certificate.pem -text

This is a collection of techical information, much of it learned the hard way. Consider it a lab book or a /info directory. I doubt much of it will be of use to anyone else.
