Video Mode

For some reason, RHEL 4 ES keeps sticking me with an X resolution that my Samsung SyncMaster 192N won't display.

I fixed it by:

  1. removing the rhgb option in /etc/grub.conf
  2. running 
    # system-config-display -v --set-resolution=1280x1024 --set-depth=24 --set-videoram=0
I don't know how to prevent the installer from messing things up at install time.
