Fixing Internationalization
The RedHat i18n configuration has a side-effect of distorting things like man pages when you are connected from a Sun or a Windows system. This is because the RedHat system is trying to internationalize things in a way that the default, dumb C locale systems cannot deal with correctly.To fix it, edit /etc/sysconfig/i18n and remove the .UTF-8 extention to the value of the LANG variable.
