Checking to see which package owns an installed file:

use: pkgchk

offshore# pkgchk -l -p /usr/ccs/bin/make
Pathname: /usr/ccs/bin/make
Type: regular file
Expected mode: 0755
Expected owner: bin
Expected group: bin
Expected file size (bytes): 269520
Expected sum(1) of contents: 10250
