Note from Mike about Solaris defaults and tools:

Hi,

A discovery I forgot to mention this morning: Sun has a couple of tools for improving Solaris security: one is called "Automated Security Enhancement Tools" (packaged on Solaris 8 cds as SUNWast), and "Jumpstart Architecture and Security Scripts" (>>http://sun.com/software/security/jass) is the other.

I took a quick look at both and they seem to have some good ideas. I'll dig a little deeper tomorrow...

Mike

Offhand I don't think we ever followed up on this.

This is a collection of techical information, much of it learned the hard way. Consider it a lab book or a /info directory. I doubt much of it will be of use to anyone else.
