Solaris Disk VTOC Cloning
To quickly clone the Virtual Table Of Content from one disk to another:
dd if=/dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s2 of=/dev/rdsk/c0t1d0s2 count=16
This will copy the partitioning information from one disk to another (ie if you have one disk you want to make into a mirror device).

Living Dangerously
I have actually used this to clone a partition table from one disk type to another, same vendor and yield size but totally different geometries; so far this has worked. I can't at all recommend it; if you try it and it doesn't work, I presume you'd have to find an un-buggered example and copy the VTOC from the good disk to the buggered one.
