reset-db

The answer is, yes, things work a lot better when the calling script controls the table creation and removal.

reset-db also removes the rrd files.

I fixed a problem with my sort. I was sorting by value, not by key. And backwards. I'm still running into the problem that the time periods are overlapping between runs, so I think I'll have to do the import of data from the postgres to the rrd as a completely separate process.

eg:

2007-11-09 16:45:01 -0500:
2007-11-09 17:00:01 -0500:Error updating /var/spool/rrds/72.1.205.181.rrd: illegal attempt to update using time 1194645600 when last update time is 1194645600 (minimum one second step) at /home/dave/build/InternetWatch/import line 78.

This is a collection of techical information, much of it learned the hard way. Consider it a lab book or a /info directory. I doubt much of it will be of use to anyone else.
