New Nodes Not Updating

Problem

When adding new systems to the server configuration, no update graphs are produced. The system is collecting data correctly (as evidenced by the new .rrd files in the dbdir) but the web pages are not.

Solution

In my case, the rundir was not writable by the munin user.

Commentary

This was on a Solaris system which used a pretty default layout. Since then I have been moving everything for munin under one directory which is owned/operated by the munin user.
