To remove all locks from a single NFS client, complete the following:
  1. Login to appliance
  2. Enter priv set advanced
  3. Enter sm_mon -l client
  4. Enter priv set
Note that priv set advanced is advertised as mind-bogglingly dangerous and is therefore not to be used without the guidance of support.

The documentation for this command (such that it is) says that sm_mon -l simulates a server failure on the NetApp and clears the lock table for that client, which forces the client to abandon and then re-obtain all of its locks.

This is a collection of techical information, much of it learned the hard way. Consider it a lab book or a /info directory. I doubt much of it will be of use to anyone else.
