Hello

This is a wiki where I store various things that I learn. It isn't meant to be authoritative, it is more a lab notebook that I leave open so I can refer back to it from arbitrary places on the web. It is more for my benefit than anyone else's.

You probably can't create a user account, nor will you be able to edit items or leave comments on them; as I said, this is for my benefit.

But if you find things of use to you, fantastic. Enjoy.

For various reasons, the commenting facility on the wiki is turned off, and the window for leaving comments on the weblog is short (about seven days I believe). So you might not be able to tell me something you want to.

Keep in mind that everything sent to this address may be used in future posts. Of course, it could be roundly ignored; however, this constitutes fair warning: if you don't want it published, don't send it to me.

Note that since xdroop.com is already being fraudulently used as envelope header information for spam, I'm currently eating between 50-100 postmaster reports (plus my usual load of 100 or so pure spam) every day; so having this email out in public isn't likely to make things any worse.

History

This wiki has existed on the internet in one form or another since mid-2002. For most of its life it ran the Snipsnap software because it was useful and I thought it looked good. In 2024 or 2025 I broke it, and couldn't recover the software. Thanks to the Wayback machine, though, most of hte content was salvagable, and I've continued to add new things since then.
